Chief Executive Officer
Tony G. Cohen is a seasoned entrepreneur and entertainment executive whose career spans professional boxing, film production, and real estate development. With over 30 years of experience as both a fighter and a promoter, he rose to prominence alongside longtime friend and colleague Sean Gibbons, delivering top-tier boxing events on HBO, Showtime, ESPN, and Telemundo.
Mr. Cohen promoted the first-ever live boxing event broadcast from the Playboy Mansion on ESPN, headlined by Mia St. John. He has also helped elevate the career of three-time world champion Tony “The Tiger” Lopez.
Today, in addition to serving as CEO of WBC Promotions, Mr. Cohen is also Vice President of Manny Pacquiao Promotions. His renewed partnership with Sean Gibbons marks a full-circle moment, reuniting a powerful team in the boxing world.
President
Sean Gibbons is one of boxing’s most influential figures. As President of WBC Promotions, he plays a leading role in discovering, developing, and promoting elite international boxing talent.
With over three decades in the sport, Mr. Gibbons has served as a matchmaker, manager, and executive. He has worked with over 50 world champions, representing 10 of them directly. Known for his exceptional matchmaking instincts and global network, he has guided fighters such as Mark Magsayo, Jerwin Ancajas, and Eumir Marcial and he helped develop Issac Cruz the “Pitbull” to championship success.
Whether negotiating major bouts or scouting prospects in grassroots gyms worldwide, Sean Gibbons remains a central force in modern boxing.
Matchmaker
Brendan Gibbons, born into a boxing family, serves as the official matchmaker for WBC Promotions. Known for his sharp eye for talent and deep understanding of the sport, Brendan crafts exciting, competitive matchups that captivate fans and elevate fighters.
His success stems from strong personal relationships with fighters, trainers, and promoters. This trust allows him to design matchups that create meaningful, career-defining moments for both rising prospects and seasoned veterans.
Brendan’s balanced, collaborative approach ensures each event is strategically structured for maximum excitement and fairness — making him one of the sport’s most respected young matchmakers.
Trainer / Brand Ambassador
Freddie Roach is a legendary Hall of Fame boxing trainer known for guiding superstars like Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto, and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. As Head Trainer at WBC Promotions, he brings unmatched coaching expertise and championship-level strategy.
Mr. Roach is celebrated for his ability to elevate fighters both physically and mentally. His calm, disciplined approach in the gym has influenced countless trainers and athletes, shaping the evolution of modern boxing.
